Greendale Vodka Martini Recipe

Greendale Vodka Martini Recipe

The classic cocktail with a subtly flavoured twist from our meadow hay-infused vodka. Put the vodka bottle in the fridge for a good couple of hours before you plan to make this cocktail. You will need a cocktail shaker for this recipe. (makes one glass; quantities can be scaled up as needed).

Ingredients

75ml Greendale Vodka, chilled from the fridge
15ml Dry Vermouth
To garnish; a strip of Lemon peel, one olive in brine (optional)

Method

An hour or so before you want to drink your martini, dip your martini glass in water briefly, then put it in the freezer. Put several ice cubes into the cocktail shaker and shake it about until the cocktail shaker is really cold. Pour the vodka on top of the ice and stir, then pour in the vermouth. Take your glass out of the freezer and strain the martini into it, discarding the ice. Twist the lemon peel and drop it into the martini, then pierce the olive (if using) with a cocktail stick and put it into the glass, too. Serve.
