We had the pleasure of working with Kitty on our house renovation and extension, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! Kitty assisted us in adding a second storey to our home and redesigning our existing layout. Kitty's involvement from design to build-completion made the end to end process very smooth-running and stress-free. Kitty managed our DA approval process, tender process, managed on-boarding and negotiations with our chosen builder. During the build, Kitty ensured that we were kept up to date by facilitating regular meetings on-site which limited unexpected surprises. She also worked directly with the build team to resolve any issues. In designing our place, Kitty's intimate understanding of the build process meant her architectural design was not only thoughtful but also very practical. Kitty's advice on budget and expectations was honest and accurate, which was critical for our planning. Kitty was very professional and warm to deal with; and would go above and beyond in ensuring our home was perfect. We couldn't have done this without Kitty.

It’s so hard to do justice to Kittys work in a review! We’ve just completed a major renovation in Bondi. Kitty was amazing as our architect and project manager. She listened and understood our brief so well. She’s created so much beautiful space from the small dark house that was here. We found she considered all options in trying to get the best result. Her work and drawings were meticulous. The Development Assessment Planner from council praised our DA for the design itself and the quality of the plans! They called the laneway studio a boon to the neighbourhood :) There were so many approvals and certifications and professionals to coordinate throughout the whole process and Kitty was all over it; we really couldn’t have done all that without her. She made the whole process so straightforward. She coordinated the tender process for the builder and we got a great builder. She was always available to talk through our queries or concerns and was so patient and easy to deal with. She was so fantastic to work with, we can’t recommend her highly enough!

Kitty, in short, was fantastic from start to finish. We worked with Kitty to renovate our c. 120 sqm 100+ year old property in Inner west Sydney. We were complete novices with the design and build process, so we relied on Kitty a lot to help us navigate all the intricacies and challenges of a project of this complexity. Kitty did this in a meticulous, patient and fun way that meant we really enjoyed the process. In the beginning, Kitty took time to really understand our wants, needs, and desires for the renovation as well as some of the unique characteristics of the existing property. And as a result, she crafted a stunning design that brought light, space and function whilst remaining sympathetic to our surroundings. She was diligent and professional with the council planning applications, provided regular and straightforward communication, and efficiently solved any issues/items as required. Kitty helped us select the materials and fittings for our property, sourcing exquisite items that have succeeded in creating a set of relaxing and sophisticated spaces - we could not be happier with the outcome. Kitty also provided project management support during our build, which (alongside our builders) ensured things ran smoothly and ahead of schedule. We could not recommend Kitty highly enough.

We could not recommend Kitty highly enough. Kitty has been there from the beginning from the first building inspection when we bought a rundown neglected terrace in Enmore to the handing over of the keys before Christmas. Kitty helped us navigate the challenges of a renovation including the DA process and project managing the build. She is extremely organised and a great communicator. She is always patient and kind and really listened to our requests which made us feel relaxed throughout the entire process. We undertook the build of Rhythmic House in Camperdown with Kitty Lee architecture, which was a second storey addition with studio/garage. Kitty designed an amazing project for us to build, that was both aesthetically pleasing and met all of the clients functional needs, with high quality details and finishes. Throughout the project Kitty was a pleasure to work with. She hosted productive, well communicated site meetings and delivered timely solutions when needed, to keep the job flowing on schedule. We recently worked with Kitty on our inner west house renovation. Kitty was the architect and the project manager for the project. We cannot say enough good things about Kitty - she was both practical and creative in re-designing the layout of our downstairs space, completely opening up the house to more light. Our house is a small house but the way Kitty has designed it makes it look very spacious, we have received so many compliments on this as well. The other great thing about Kitty is that she always presents us with options for fixtures and fittings, rather than making us choose from scratch. This helped us make our decision quicker. Kitty went on maternity leave towards the end of the project, but was always responsive and responsible and never let any details slip. We had a fantastic experience with Kitty and would not hesitate to recommend her or work with her again! Thank you Kitty for helping us creating our beautiful home.

I am thankful and glad to have met Kitty through a recommendation from an ex-colleague over a causal work lunch conversation after sharing my experience of my existing architect and having several builders turn down my project. My ex-colleague had his reno project (Bath Box Terrace) completed with great success through Kitty Architecture and shared his great experience with Kitty. He got me all excited after showing me photos of his beautiful home just over lunch, I immediately went back to the office and started googling on "Kitty Lee Architecture" and as simple as that or one could call it "fated", she became my Architect, Interior Designer and Project Manager for my whole Kingsford Reno Project (Midnight Wine House). I started with simple requirements that is to have an additional bathroom and to bring the external laundry inside from a single storey house with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom but she was able to expand everything into a design that you would never have imagined at the beginning. She sees things differently, she pays attention to details, she listens to our needs & understands my budget as well as observed our living lifestyles then put designs & ideas into perspective for me and my daughter. It has never been a one-way conversation/decision making process as she always gives me options and understands how I think & how I feel when comes to decision making. She is very patient in guiding me through these processes from the beginning till the end and I left everything up to her from designing, ordering of materials, construction, communications & managing builders & tradies. She makes things looks so seamless. The outcome of my new home was better than I could have ever imagined as it completed with perfect timing for Covid isolation for daily work from home in my new office space, tremendously huge wine cellar space for my collection, ample of storage spaces and a brand new home for my daughter’s HSC year. I couldn't be more happy with the quality of the job that she has done and not to mention the late nights & dedication that she has put in where I still recall being on the phone with her discussing the designs till past 1 am in the morning. Her work was carried out very professionally with good and efficient communication throughout this whole project. It was wonderful and a great pleasure to work with her and I have learnt a lot from her through this. Anytime, I would highly recommend Kitty’s fantastic services to anyone.
